Our organisation was founded in 2023 as Taiwan Kiddos by a group of Taiwanese youth living across Europe, united by a shared commitment to advocating for Taiwan’s rightful place in the international community. The journey began with rallies in Geneva, where we called for Taiwan’s inclusion in the World Health Organization (WHO) and the global recognition of Taiwan’s contributions in the public health sector. These efforts marked the first step in our broader mission: to raise international awareness of Taiwan’s unique identity, challenges, and aspirations.

Today, as Taiwan Youth Initiatives in Europe (TYIE), we move forward with a clearer vision and stronger initiatives, driven by a deep commitment to amplifying Taiwan’s presence across the globe. We are dedicated to increasing Taiwan’s visibility by engaging with international institutions and civil society to advocate for Taiwan’s rightful participation in global affairs. Through cultural diplomacy — academic seminars, cultural exhibitions, film screenings, and workshops, amongst others — we aim to introduce Taiwan’s rich history, vibrant democracy, and diverse heritage to audiences across Europe and beyond. By sharing Taiwan’s stories, we strive to foster a broader awareness of its unique identity and the critical issues it faces. These initiatives not only strengthen Taiwan’s international presence but also cultivate meaningful partnerships that reinforce global support for Taiwan’s role in the world. As we continue to grow, TYIE remains steadfast in our mission to shape a future where Taiwan’s voice is heard, valued, and recognised on the international stage.
