近年來，臺灣在國際上的曝光度開始有顯著的提升。然而，許多外國媒體對我們的報導仍過度聚焦於緊張的臺海議題上，而忽略了臺灣社會其他同樣充滿活力、有著獨特文化，以及愛好民主價值的面向。來自德國的記者 Klaus Bardenhagen 便是讓世界認識真實的臺灣的重要推手之一。

自 2008 年起，Klaus便開始在臺灣進行深入報導，並在去年出版了《世界上最重要的島嶼》（Die wichtigste Insel der Welt）。長期以來，透過書寫及報導，Klaus 致力於推廣臺灣的民主、社會與文化，讓更多國際人士看見臺灣的多元與活力。

今年二月，歐洲臺灣青年協會非常榮幸邀請到 Klaus 擔任主講人，透過生動的互動環節與深度的問答對談，引導大家思考臺灣在國際社會中的地位，以及媒體如何能夠幫助提升臺灣的國際能見度。本次活動旨在啟發參與者，共同探索臺灣在國際社群中的影響力與合作的可能性。

In recent years, Taiwan has received growing attention in the global media landscape. However, much of the coverage remains narrowly focused on Cross-Strait tensions, often overlooking the vibrant cultures, dynamic society, and thriving democratic values that define the country. German journalist Klaus Bardenhagen is one of the key figures helping the world have a more rounded, nuanced understanding of Taiwan.

Since 2008, Klaus has been conducting in-depth reporting in Taiwan. In 2024, he published the book Die wichtigste Insel der Welt (The Most Important Island in the World). Through his work, Klaus has long been dedicated to promoting Taiwan’s democracy, society, and culture, showcasing the island’s diversity and vibrancy to an international audience.

This February, the Taiwan Youth Initiatives in Europe (TYIE) is honoured to invite Klaus as a keynote speaker. With engaging interactions and insightful Q&A discussions, Klaus will guide participants to reflect on Taiwan’s role in the international community and how media can enhance Taiwan’s global visibility. The event aims to inspire attendees to explore Taiwan’s influence and potential collaborations on the world stage.

Klaus Bardenhagen

長期派駐於臺灣的德國記者，稱臺灣為他的「第二家鄉」，對在地社會與政治環境有著精準且深入的觀察與解析。

Klaus 畢業於愛丁堡大學歐洲電影研究學系，曾在德國公共電視台 Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF) 及 Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) 擔任記者。身為資深媒體工作者，他將其多年來對臺灣的觀察和見解集結於著作《世界上最重要的島嶼》（Die wichtigste Insel der Welt），進一步向德語讀者和國際傳遞來自臺灣的聲音。

Originally from Germany, Klaus Bardenhagen offers precise and in-depth observations of Taiwan’s society and political landscape. Prior to his career in Taiwan, Klaus worked as a journalist for Germany’s public broadcasters Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF) and Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR).
